DÜNYANIN İKİNCİ BÜYÜK KARANLIK KANYONU

Eminim dünyanın 2.büyük kanyonun Erzincanın ilçesi olan Kemaliyede bulunan Karanlık Kanyon olduğunu birçoğumuz bilmiyoruz. Amerikadaki Grand kanyondan sonra gelen bu kanyon tam bir doğa harikasıdır.Bugün Kemaliye olarak bilinen ilçe 11.yy ilk yarısında Van yöresinden göçen Ermenilerce iskan edildiği bilinmektedir. Kasabanın eski adı Agn olup ermenice “göze – pınar anlamına gelmektedir.

İlçe, 1900’lü yılların önemli bir ticari merkezidir. Kaynaklar, o dönemde bütün çevre illerden, ticaret için eğin’e gidildiğini aktarır. Cumhuriyetten sonra, ilçe yoğun göç veren yerlerden biri olmuştur. Bugünkü nüfusu 2500 civarı olan Kemaliye bir çok bürokrat çıkartmıştır ve halkı oldukça kültürlü bir yapıya sahiptir, birçoğu İstanbulda yaşayan halkının büyük çoğunluğu yaz tatilinde burasını hareketlendirmektedir.

Resimde Vali Recep Yazıcıoğlu köprüsü görünmektedir, ayrıca Köprü isimli filmde bu köprüyü konu almaktadır. 1966 yılında yapına başlanan Keban barajının Yukarı Fırat havzasında bulunan bu bölümü 1974 yılında su tutmaya başlayınca burdaki köprü sular altında kalınca 22 köyün bağlantısı dış dünya ile kesilmiş ulaşımda küçük kayıklar ve feribot a bel bağlanmıştır ancak bu da yeterli çözüm olamamıştır. Devlet yeni köprü için 1 trilyon maliyet çıkarttığı için köprü bi türlü yapılamamış bunun üzerine Vali Recep Yazıcıoğlu bir kısmını devletten bir kısmınıda yöre halkından toplayarak köprünün yapımına 1993 yılında başlamıştır. 1997 yılında yapımı tamamlanan köprü tam 300 milyara mal olmuş yöre halkının ulaşım sıkıntısı son bulmuştur.

       İlçede yerel bi gazeteye ait olan konaklama merkezi, bir öğretmen evi, yine özel bir konuk evi ve bir kaçtane otel bulunmaktadır. Öğretmen evinde yaz günleri yer bulmanız zor olabilir o yüzden gitmeden önce arayıp yer ayırtmanızı tavsiye ederim çünkü biz gittiğimizde yer bulamadık. Kanyonun hemen yanında kanyona paralel olarak uzanan yapımının 132 yıl sürdüğü tamamen insan emeği taş yol bulunmakta. Devasa kayalar, insan gücüyle kırılıp, onlarca tünel kazılmış.Yolun hikayesini bilenler “Önceleri Kemaliye’ye çok kar yağarmış. 3-4 ay bütün çevre ile irtibatı kesilirmiş. 1800’lü yıllarda o zaman ilçenin büyükleri Fırat kenarından kıyıdan bir yol açarsak orası kar tutmaz kolaylıkla Erzincan- Sivas yoluna çakarız diye düşünmüşler. ” diye anlatıyor. Yol bir çok irili ufaklı tünelden oluşmakta ancak bir aracın sığabildiği tüneller aracınızı oldukça zorlayabilir daha çok jeep veya motorla gitmenizi tavsiye ederim, ayrıca ilçede bisiklet kiralayıp tünelleri gezmeniz mümkün.

karanlik-kanyon Kanyon adını karanlık dere diye bilinen dereden almaktadır. Bu dere 500m yükseklikte kayaların arasından kayaların dibine doğru akan yatağına AKUT un bile inemediği söylenen bir deredir.

Bu yol Erzincan a devam etmekte ve oldukça zorlu bir yol tam 174km olan bu yol epey virajlı ve dar yollardan oluşmakta.
Köprüyü geçtikten sonra yine tünele giriyorsunuz tünel çıkışında solda  küçük bir iskele var buradan tekne gezisine çıkabilirsiniz. Karanlık Kanyon’da 2008 yılından beride Uluslararası Doğa Sporları kapsamında BASE jumping atlayışları yapılmaktadır. Haziran ayının son haftası giderseniz uslararası Erzincan-Kemaliye (Eğin) Kültür ve Doğa Sporları Şenliği´ne katılma fırsatı bulur 500m yükselkilğinde ki kayalardan kanyonun içine doğru paraşütle atlayan sporcularn son saniyelerde nasıl paraşütlerini açıp ölümle dans ettiklerini görürsünüz.
1940’lara kadar geçimini halıcılık, bez dokumacılığı, ayakkabıcılık, bakırcılık gibi el sanatlarıyla sağlayan, ama ardından şehre göçlerle, nüfusu 2500’lere kadar inen, yazları ise doğa sporları sayesinde, nüfusu 5000’lere çıkan kasaba, yaz aylarında turist çeken bir bölgedir.

Kemaliye´nin kuzeydoğusunda Ala mağarası bulunmaktadır ancak henüz turizme açılmadığı için mağaracılık deneyiminiz varsa rehber eşliğinde gidebilirsiniz. Ala Mağarasının içinde dehliz ve kanallar bulunmaktadır. Girişinde sızıntı olarak akan suyun, ala ve sedef hastalıklarına iyi geldiği bilinmektedir.Dilerseniz burada kısa bir yüzme molası verebilirsiniz.

Bütün bu gezintiden sonra eminim su sizi acıktıracaktır Yemek yemek için ilçenin girişinde bulanan Havuzbaşı restaurantta balık yiyebilirsiniz diye duyarsanız sakın ola ki oraya gitmeyin. Çok güzel bir doğa içine kurulmuş içinden dere akan bir kamp alanı burası havuzuda var. çadırınızla geldiyseniz buraya çadır kurabilirsiniz ancak buranın işletmecisi bu doğa harikası yerin hakkını verememiş. Top sakallı burnu havada sahibi müşteriyle pek ilgisiz alakasız öyle ki siz masaya oturduktan sonra bile iki defa bir garson çağırmamıza rağmen 45dk kimse yan bile bakmadı. Büfeden bozma bir yerde yemeklerin yapıldığı işletmede servis o kadar kötü ki büyük bir iştahla beklediğiniz balığınız sadece bir tabağın içine koyulmuş şekilde yanında tek bir yeşillik ve soğan olmadan çıplak vaziyette sunulmakta, köfteler o kadar kötü ki bir tabağın içine 4 köfte konulup getiriliyor şimdiye kadar gittiğim yerlerde en kötü yemeği ve en çok hesabı burda ödedim, burada yemek yemek isteyen arkatdaşlar aman dikkat derim.  Bunun yerine şehir merkezinde bulunan lokantaları tercih etmeniz sizin yararınıza olacaktır.
