M.Ö 500 yılından bugüne Trakya`da bağcılık ve şarapçılık yapılıyor. 1658 yılında Trakya`ya gelen Evliye Çelebi Seyahatname adlı kitabında yüzlerce dönümlük bağlarla karşılaştığını yazmış. Eski kayıtlarda ise şarapların limanlara taşındığı Şarap yolu ismine rastlanır. Manda arabalarına yüklenen fıçı ve küpler dolusu  şarapların,  Kıyıköy ve İğneada ya getirilip, buradanda gemilere yüklenerek Fransa`nın Marsilya şehrine ve İtalya’ nın Venedik şehrine sevk ediliyormuş. 19.yüzyılda Trakya`dan Fransa`ya 70 milyon litre şarap gönderildiği biniliyor.

Lüleburgaz ve ıstıranca dağları arasında kalan Çeşmekolu köyünün arkasından geçen şarap yolunda kurulu olan Arcadia bağları tarihi yeniden canlandırıyor. Tarihde olduğu gibi kaliteli şarabın yeniden üretilmisini sağlamak ve dünya standartları çerçevesinde, şaraplarını diğer ülkelere ulaştırmayı hedeflemiş Arcadia bağları.

İsmini Arcadiapolis antik kentinden alan Arcadia, 2000 binlerde Cumhuriyet döneminde Kırklareline yapılan ilk modern büyük bağ yatırımı olma özelliğine sahip. Çeşmekolu karşısında Bağlık yakası olarak bilinen arazilerde uzun araştırmalar sonucu 2500 dönümlük arazi üzerine kurulmuş Arcadia bağları. Ancak bu kadar arazinin şu an için sadece 350 dönümü bağ olarak kullanılıyor.

Özcan ve Zeynep Arca dünyada çeşitli bağ coğrafyalarını dolaşarak, hem gezip hemde araştırma yaptıktan sonra hayallerindeki şarabı üretebilecekleri Teruar arayışına başlamışlar. Lüleburgazın kuzeyi ile Istıranca dağları arasında kalan bölgenin iklim özelliklerinden dolayı bu bölgeyi tercih ederek Arcadia çiftliğini kurmak için ilk adımları atmışlar.

Terruarın müthiş  lezzetinin şaraplarına hiç kayıpsız aktarılması için sekiz yıl boyunca  beklemişler ve artık hayallerdeki şarabı  ziyaretçilere ve şarap tadımı meraklılarına tattırma  zamanı gelmiş.

İşletme sahibi Özcan Arca, Trakya’nın turizmde sahip olacağı payın ortaya çıkarılamadığı fikrine sahip. Turizmde Arcadia Çiftliği ile Trakya coğrafyasını   eko, agro ve gastro turizm merkezi haline getirmeyi amaç edinmiş.

ARCADİA BAĞLARI

Arcadia Bağları’nda yetiştirilen üzümlerin cinsini sıralayacak olursak Sauvignon Blanc, Narince, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot ve Öküzgözü ve Papaskarası üzümleri olduğunu söyleyebiliriz. En eski üzüm cinslerinden Sauvignon Gris ve Pinot Gris cinsi üzümlerini Türkiye’de yetiştiren tek bağın burası olduğunu söyleyebiliriz.

Rakımı 100 ila 150 m arasında değişen rakımlarıyla birçok minik minik tepeler, vadi ve meşe korularından oluşuyor Arcadia bağları arazisi. Arcadia bağlarında  doğada ve üzümde kalıntı bırakacak hiç bir kimyasal kesinlikle kullanılmıyor.

ŞARAPHANE

Bağbozumu zamanı toplanan ürünün bağlardan kadehlere uzanan öyküsünde hem modern hemde  geleneksel metodlar bir arada kullanılıyor. “Yerinde üretim” sistemiyle çalışan Arcadia bağları tam ortasına şarap üretim tesisini kurmuş. Üzümler bağlardan toplandığı gibi anında tesise getirilip üretime başlanıyor.

Toplanan üzümler  özel tasarım dairesel şaraphane yapısı sayesinde yerçekimi ile, pompa ve benzeri mekanik malzemeler  kullanılmadan şarap haline getiriliyor. Üretilen Şaraplar yine en doğal haliyle olduğu yerde şişeleniyor. Şaraphanenin orta kısmından, yer altındaki mahzene doğal serinliği ve nem oranını  en uygun mekân şekilde sağlamak için bir kapı açılıyor. Şaraplar önce üç kat meşeden yapılmış  fıçıda daha sonra ise şişelerde dinlendiriliyor.

ŞARAP ÇEŞİTLERİ

9 farklı cins üzüm yetiştirilebilen 350 dönümlük arazide, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Gris, Sangiovese, Pinot Gris, Öküzgözü ve Narince. cinsi üzümler yetiştiriliyor. Ancak Şaraba yatkın olmaları , toprağa ve bölgeye göstertikleri uyumdan dolayı Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris ve Pinot Gris üzümlerini işlemeyi tercih etmişler.

En eski üzüm cinsinden  olan ve çok güzel şaraplarda  kullanılan Sauvignon Gris üzümü, Türkiye’de ilk kez Arcadia Bağları’nda yetiştiriliyor.

ŞARAP TADIMI

Arcadia Gris işletmenin en ünlü şarabı. Ülkemizde  Sauvignon Gris ve Pinot Gris üzümlerinin yetiştirildiği tek yer burası oludundan böyle bir şarabı başka yerde bulamazsınız. Biberiye, narenciye, limon ve çimen aromalarından oluşan Arcadia Gris şarabı aynı zamanda tatlı şaraplar arasında yer alıyor.

İşletmenin bir diğer şarabı ise Arcadia Odrysia Narince şarabı. İçerisinde şeftali, nektarin, narenciye gibi bol meyve aromaları barındıran beyaz  şarap yumuşak bir içime sahip.

İşletme şampanya üretmeyide ihmal etmemiş. Narince üzümlerinden üretilen Narince şampanya,  sınırlı sayıda özel yapım prosecco stilinde yapılan bir  şampanya. Narince Şampanya, sadece Bakucha Otel’de kalan misafirlere sunuluyor.
